Woven Hematite Pin
A Handwoven pin made of Hematite and gold-plated silver beads.
Interesting facts:
The word 'Hematite' is derived from the Greek word "Blood."
This is probably due to the fact that when the stones is crushed, a deep red powder emerges.
Peoples like the ancient Romans and even the Native Americans would smear this red powder onto their bodies before going into battles, believing that the stone would bestow upon them protection and strength.
The stone itself also has a superpower: If it is scratched, rubbing over the scratched surface allows the stone to "heal" itself, and the scratch often disappears.
This specific pin was handwoven and decorated with intricate round beads that glisten beautifully. The pin undernearth is made of gold-plated silver.
