Letter Opener - Royal White Ebony Wood

A thin yet heavy letter opener out of precious wood. Royal White Ebony is a rare wood native to Burma and Laos. 
 
Since the wood is so distinctive and beautiful with its constrasting colors and strong fibers, it has been on high demand for hundreds of years, and is said that the wood was reserved and given only to the royalties of these lands. It was believed that the wood possesed the power to neutralize poisons, and was therefore fabricated into drinking cups.
